Potential Risks

There may be risks including technical difficulties, interruptions, or limitations in fully assessing non-verbal communication. While efforts are made to use secure platforms, confidentiality cannot be guaranteed 100%.

Confidentiality

The same confidentiality standards apply to telehealth as in-person therapy, with the understanding of the limitations of technology.

Client Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Be in a private, quiet space during sessions

  • Use a secure internet connection

  • Provide an emergency contact and current location at the time of sessions

Emergency Situations

Telehealth is not appropriate for crisis situations. If you are in immediate danger, please call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.

Consent

By participating in telehealth sessions, you acknowledge understanding the risks and benefits and agree to proceed with this form of treatment.
